Place the chilling ball in the freezer for approximately 1 hour to achieve optimal cooling performance. When ready to pull your shot, remove the ball from the freezer and position the set on your cup, directly beneath the portafilter, ensuring the espresso flows to the center of the ball. Proceed with your espresso extraction as usual.
For pour-over brewing, position the chilling ball directly beneath your brewer’s outlet valve or drip coffee system, without direct contact with the ball. It is recommended to chill only the first pour or about 20-30%, as suggested by some professional brewers. However, feel free to experiment and adjust according to your personal preference.
Care and Maintenance ⏩
After each use, rinse the chilling ball under running water to remove any coffee residue. For a deeper clean, hand wash all components with dishwashing liquid and water. Ensure all parts are completely dry before returning them to the freezer to prevent ice buildup. Not dishwasher safe!
